Our cowherd runs in a region that is climatically very drastic. The temperature can range from 100+ degrees in the
summer to 30 to 40 degrees below in the winter months, thus creating the need for females that can readily adapt.
We select for females that are efficient converters of forage, that will calve unassisted in range conditions, have good
udders with plenty of milk, conceive in a 60 day breeding season, and still have enough bred-in growth and
performance to produce the stout, high-performing bulls our customers demand.
Our spring calving herd starts calving March 20th, whereas our fall herd begins August 10th. We have the influence of Connealy Frontline, SS Traveler 6807 T510, , Stockman 365, Stevenson North Moss 9JC, GDAR Royce 5140, and EXT in many of our mature females.Many of the younger cows are sired by: VRD, LA Super X, Hunts Calculator, Schurrtop Robinson, Connealy Forecast, Leachman Right Time, Expedition 1404, Freightliner, and Alliance 3313. |

S Gloria 464 is best known as Chisum's dam. She is a strong producing, heavy muscled, stout cow that has been flushed numerous times mating well to several different sires. Her progeny record is 3/94 BR, 3/114 WR, and 3/111 YR. Our 2012 bull sale will feature several of her ET progeny including 7 Game Day sons and 1 Game Day daughter, as well as 5 Alliance 3313 sons and 1 Alliance 3313 daughter, making those progeny full siblings to Chisum.

| S Queen Essa 208 represents the type of cow we strive to produce. She is a 5.5+ frame cow with lots of body and an excellent production record, as she posts a 7/110 WR, 6/106 YR, and 24/102 IMF. She is extremely sound structured, very good footed, and has an udder that we would consider to be near perfect. Her udder is used as a benchmark for comparison for our entire cowherd. | Basin Clova Pride 933L is a new donor purchased in the fall of 2008 from Basin Angus Ranch as the first of seven Brooks Ext 792 daughters. We were so impressed with the Brooks Ext daughters that we bought all seven of his daughters offered in 2008 and flushed Chisum’s dam to him in 2009. Clova Pride is a very interesting multigenerational light birth Pathfinder® donor with production ratios of BR 7/86, WR 7/103, YR 7/102.Her dam records a BR of 4/88. Her first ET progeny sold included our 2011 leadoff bull S Trailblazer 0110 the Chisum son selected by Select Sires. Look for her Game Day progeny to be born spring 2012. |

We consider Gloria 209 one of our very best, and thought it only fitting to add her to the donor lineup this spring. |
